2007-07-26 New live-videos uploaded on youtube now.

2007-07-01 Betty Goes A Go-Go had the honour to perform on the Democracy Days this weekend. The theme was Revolution and concisted of three days of lectures, debates and music by participants like Malcolm Mc Laren, Peter Jenner and Michael Monroe. The band was decimated in numbers, but concentrated on a more down-tempo & synthezised set with a lot more jamming and extended version of the songs.

Setlist:
Contaminated Beats
Scorpio Rising
You go Back to Your Water and I'll get Back to My Snow

2007-06-16
Massive thanks to all of you who showed up at our releaseparties this week. The first one was lots of fun, but the second one really blew us away. Even though we did the same setlist, we recognized some (same) faces at both events. Your support means a lot to us. Thanks again.

Setlist:
Contaminated Beats
Scorpio Rising
Sweeping Snow
Pump Up The Valium
Paloma
Kairos
The Frost Brigade

2007-06-05 The date for the release is set to the 14:th of July. But hey! There´s a chance for you get it before your friends. It works no matter whether you use Paypal or your Visa - just go to Discography on this very site, and your copy of Winter Begins Here is just a click away.

2007-05-28 It's time to release the much awaited Winter Begins Here album. So there's a party coming up (or two, depending on how you look at it).

Thursday 14 June
we're doing a "all-ages" gig at Caoz , Borlänge. So leave the dope at home, please. Next day, Friday 15 June we're throwing a party at Wasabryggeriet, Borlänge. This is a private party, but if you're reading this you are most welcome (as long as you're 18+, that is).
We won't sell any alcohol, but (as we have written on myspace), we won't search your bags neither. Go figure...

2007-05-20 Betty is about to perform on the Rock For Moc Festival, 2007.09.01. We are somewhat known to hardly ever play live, but a part of the ticket goes to Mocambique and it feels like a good thing to do (to be able to contribute to people with less luck than us, that is).

2007-05-13 Our myspace-site went down for a week and then suddenly appeared again. Strange, but beyond our control. Tom's having a busy week I guess. And by the way, please pay a visit to our virb site (designed by Offbeat himself). Just follow this link, virb.com and you'll be able to hear the whole forthcoming album.

2007-04-16 Thanks to all of you who showed up the other day. It was our first show in a year, but it turned out very well. Much because of the fantastic support from the Catapults Entertainment crew & the people working there, helping us out with the projections and other technical facilities.

Setlist:
Contaminated Beats
Scorpio Rising
Sweeping Snow
Paloma
Antarctica
The Frost Brigade

2007-04-09 It is now officially confirmed that Betty Goes A Go-Go has a new bass-player. His name is Anders Peters and is known for his former band Mass Confusion as well as his work as a session musician. He will not attend on the Art Session gig though. This is our last show with Linus and even though we're happy finding such a talented new member, it's always a bit sad leaving the old one. So don't miss this opportunity to see his last performance with us (as well as checking out some art from some talanted new artists). The venue opens 17.00, but Betty is about to hit the stage around 21.00.

2007-03-29 This very page crashed the other day and all it's links got removed. We are now trying to restore it, but please be patient if it takes some time. In the meantime, feel free to visit our myspace-site and even drop a personal message. Sorry for your inconvenience.

2007-03-23 Linus told us the other day that he felt like he was slowing us down. Rehearsing (at least) twice a week and constantly writing new songs took too much focus from his private life. We're still friends and wish him the best of luck with everything. And he promised to do the Art Session before he quits. This means that we're looking for a new bassplayer who's willing to play a lot. Rehearsing, as well as live and in the studio. Post a PM if you want to give it a try.

2007-03-15 Betty Goes A Go-Go has been officially booked (by Catapults Entertainment) for the Art Session -07. The date is set to the 14 April and is taking place at Caoz, Borlange. The venue opens 17.00 and contains spoken word, visual art and music.

2007-02-09 Boy, are we flattered!! Winter Begins Here is yet to be released, but some of you people are already asking us if you can make remixes of the songs. And why not! Offbeat has now constructed a site with the separate tracks for four of the songs. And they're all yours to download. Just mail us or send a PM on myspace and we'll be happy to give you the URL. We do want to know a bit about who you are and for what purposes ("For fun" is a good reason).

2007-01-22 We've started a collaboration with singer Kristina Hanses from Amsterdam. She is going to sing on a song called Melt Away/Swirl Like Snow, which has been written for her uniqe voice. There are no further plans about releasing the song yet though.

2007-01-16 We're sorry to say, but the before-mentioned gig/vernissage has been put on hold. FHTEOD personally told Offbeat yesterday that he's planning to arrange it later this spring (instead of the planned date in February).

2007-01-14 The 6th of February, our good friend Follow Him To The End Of The Desert is having a combined vernissage/gig. Four different acts are about to play, and one of them is Betty Goes A Go-Go. Offbeat is most certainly also dj:ing FHTEOD while on set. Both Offbeat and Erik are also planning on showing some of their art (as they're both into creating other things apart from the music). More info as we get closer to the date.

2007-01-03 Hope you've all had a blast New Years Eve. Pinhead was (and still is) in Australia. Linus and Choice were out on various missions, while Offbeat and Erik teamed up with Bettys ex-member Perra Spacefriend + various other people. Those who were at the party can probably confirm that this was the best gig they (never) have done. Just beats, noises and spaced out vocals accompanied by pre-recorded tracks from the laptop. Watch the gallery to catch a glimpse of the madness.

2006-12-18 The new Myspace page is now up and running. As long as this guestbook is out of order you're most welcome to send us a personal message to www.myspace.com/bettygoesagogo

2006-12-14 The songs are now recorded, mixed and mastered (at Studio 7). The 9 songs are to be released in early 2007. The title of the album to come is Winter Begins Here and will probably be released on Coming Ohm Productions.

2006-11-04 The problem with the guestbook maintanes, so unfortunately you´re not able to send any messages. If it's urgent you are always welcome to use info@bettygoesagogo.com though. Our Myspace account has been deleted (due to unknown/unspecified reasons), so you can't reach us there either.

Further news on the up-coming release: We've found a producer whom we are about to meet in a couple of weeks time. If he happens to be as nice as a person as he is a good producer we've met our man.

2006-10-10 The co-operation with Fredric Aspelin (the producer we worked with on A Moment of Clarity) has not turned out as well as we had hoped for. We have split up and are at the moment negotiating with some other names in the business. This means further delay, but is eventually better than releasing bad songs.

2006-08-16 There are some problems with the guestbook at the moment. We are aware of it and we've sent our best men working on it. (It's really just one guy, but it sounded good, right).

2006-07-29 At the moment we´re working on a new rehearsing-place. Yeah, not in, but on. We've just shipped away our last recorded session to its final mixing, cut, mastering (or whatever it is they are doing with it), and in the meantime we're actually building a new place for us to write/play forthcoming songs in. And we get lots of help from Tommi (from Dozer). He's not just an amazing guitarist, but also an excellent carpenter! What a way to spend the summer huh?

2006-07-21 We've added a Press-section in the photo gallery. This is created in order to give you high resolution pictures in case you need to make your own flyers, posters etc. Newspapers, Fanzines and You are free to use the press material without our permission. Enjoy your holiday.

2006-06-07 Betty Goes A Go-Go would like to apologise for the delay the other day. We are truly sorry, but there wasn't really anything we could do to get on stage on time. Cat5 plaing half an hour longer than they ought to before us + technical problems were the main reasons. Great thanks to you who were patient enough to wait for us. And for those of you who left in anger, well, we fully understand you and hope we can make it up to you some day.

Setlist:
01. Winter Begins Here
02. Sweeping Snow
03. Paloma
04. Stalemate
05. My Curse
06. Antarctica
07. The Frost Brigade
2006-05-01 Confirmed date for the gig at the Peace & Love-festival is Saturday 21.00

2006-05-30 Erik's back from France and so the band is finally ready to get some recording done. Some titles for the songs are: Frost Brigade, Sweeping Snow, My Curse (which once was recorded for the Moment sessions, but never made it) & Antarctica (which the band has been doing live for some time).
2006-01-03 Happy New Year to ya' all. Hope you have had a great New Years Eve and your headaches are finally gone... With the release of A Moment of Clarity , the birth of this very home-page and (most important of all) Choice and Offbeat joining the team, 2005 was quite a happening year to us. Several thanks to Otti at Webdoc, Lucas at Saga and to all of you who visited our gigs during the year. Special thanks goes out to the Cozmoz staff who helped us out at the Caoz gig (it was a pleasant surprise to see how smooth everything went although we were somewhat demanding).

2005-11-19 More info on the up-coming gig at Caoz the 2:nd of December! It costs 30 kr and apart for a brilliant show you'll get the new ep for free as you enter! For you who have already bought it, think of it as the perfect christmas-gift. There will be a table of merchandise as well, so bring your money and spend it on pins, stickers, old records etc... The venue opens at 19.00 pm and until the band enters you'll be able to hear some nice music selected by the Ohm-crew. Since there's no age-restriction, the arrangement is drug-free...

2005-11-13 Some small changes have been done regarding this site. Webdoc has created an archive for our news, developed a new guestbook & is currently working on a way to create a merchandise-section.

2005-10-31 Next gig is to take place at CAOZ the 2:nd of December .

2005-10-21 Here are links to some of the reviews that we've got for A Moment of Clarity :
Skrutt
Backlash
Zero Magazine

2005-10-19 Drummer for the gig in December is a handsome man named Thomas, probably more known as Choice . Hence not earlier known by the members of Betty, he answered to our calls for a new drummer and turned out to be quite a pleasant surprise. Taking part in arrangements and actually caring about the songs instead of just his drumming, made us decide that he'd be a good choice. Let's see if he passes Bettys three step-trial to permanent membership...

2005-10-15 The Pins have arrived. Feel free to order your own copy by sending us a pre-stamped envelope.

2005-10-10 A gig is to take place in the bands' home-town, Borlänge! The date has been set to the 2:nd of December, but the venue is still not decided (probably at Caoz or Wasabryggeriet). The idea is to perform at a venue where anyone can get in. So far, Betty has only done gigs for people at the age of 18+.
It's time to retribute the kids who are buying our records...

2005-09-28 Betty's starting to recieve some rave reviews for the A Moment Of Clarity ep. The only complaint so far is about the vocals. But, as earlier said, over all it's gotten critical acclaim and gentle words. Several thanks goes out to magazines and writers for your time and attention.

2005-09-02 A date has been set with Fredric Aspelin for a remix on Steel Mill City Winter. Due to a tight schedule, the original recording lack some of the ideas that were originally intended. There may also be some changes in the actual sound. Hopefully this new version is to become a part on a further release. In the meantime the band is writing songs and eagerly trying to find a new drummer.

2005-05-27 Dalarnas Tidningar (which consists of different magazines and goes out in several communities in Sweden) run a similar short article about Betty goes a go-go. It says Betty goes krautrock, that we move towards electronica and... eh, well, read the whole article for yourselves here.

2004-08-10 Betty's about to test some new songs live. The occasion is a private party so unfortunatly it's only for the chosen few.

2004-08-06 The lazy gang is back from their lazy holiday where exactly nothing happened. It was too hot to rehearse while the sun was shining and when it was pouring down we just stayed inside and watched a movie. So we decided to work on this new website and tighten our bonds with the computer-folks at WebDoc Inc. Thanks Johan for gallons of coffee and your knowledge beyond brilliance. We managed to write some new songs though. 'Winter lair' started off as a Tom Petty-ripoff, but evolved to something much darker and sadder. That song is Walles' favourite at the moment, whilst Erik prefers 'Antarctica' -a more up-tempo song in the vein of early Joy Division. Really no point in discussing this hence the planned Paloma single is yet to be released. But we humbly figured you'd appriciate to share the past months with us. ...Yeah right you would.

2005-08-30 We've run out of pins. Which, by the way, is a problem we appriciate. So let's order some more... This time they're coming in black (to suit your leather-jackets) and dark red (to suit your nose-bleed).

2005-06-10 In contradiction to what the newspapers claim, Betty ain't gonna perform on the release-concert for the El Gordo compilation album. At least not on stage since Richards out of town.

2005-05-28 First and foremost: GREAT THANKS to all of you who came to the releaseparty at Saga. We had a blast and so had you (or else you're lying!). The place was packed, so if some of you didn't get in - sorry, but it's beyond our control. Hopefully you'll get another chance soon...    But for you who were present, thanks again for a lovely evening (special thanks goes out to Örne who managed to sodomize the drumset during the last song). Many of you made long journeys to attend the other night; and for us to see so many friends coming from all over the country (not to mention Martin and Stella flying in from Germany), really put fire to our icey hearts. Thanks again...

Setlist:
01. Paloma
02. I lie to keep you calm
03. Stealth-rise
04. Love will tear us apart
05. A way around the truth
2005-05-20 A compilation-album called El Gordo is out now. Betty contributes with the song Steel Mill City Winter. Other bands are (among others) Blunda, Stonewall Noise Orchestra and Demora.

2005-05-19 Further information about the release-party: It takes place (as earlier said) at the restaurant Saga the 27 of May. Saga lies in the center of Borlänge City (Borganäsvägen). The doors open at 22.00 and Betty are about to perfom around 23.00. Dj:ing are the guys from Klubb Ohm , so get ready for some blockbusting beats. Saga shuts down at 02.00, so where we go from there, well... your guess is as good as ours.

2005-05-10 Rapid as a jet! Johan Hansson a.k.a. Offbeat (anyone remember the underground hit "Pinball Factory"?) has agreed to join us on the forthcoming gig. We gave him a call and he just laughed down the phone-line. We assured him his hands wouldn't be tied, so expect some weird shit coming out of the system.

2005-05-09 Like it wasn't enough, Perra is unable to attend at the release-party. This means that we'll have to find someone else who's ready to tweak the knobs at the up-coming gig. No sweat, though... It's gonna be a blast, brothers and sisters!

2005-05-07 There's gonna be one hell of a release-party for the ep, with all the snacks, bubbles and watts we can provide. The date is set for the 27 of May at the restaurant Saga. Behind the drums you'll find Ola from Silent Spring. Listening to him rehearse with that band made us convinced that he's gonna make a great effort backing us up live.

2005-05-06 This Fridays' issue of DD (the newspaper) includes an interview about the new album and the bands further plans... Read the whole article Here.

2005-05-01 The gig at Klubb Ohm has been cancelled.

2005-04-29 We've been in contact with Molten Universes' headquarter and they told us that the European release for A Moment Of Clarity is going to be set in the begginning of May, i.e. a months delay for countries outside Scandinavia. There's still a chance to order a copy from this site though.

2005-04-23 News flash! Walle has decided to do a "Bernard Butler" and leave the band in the midst of it all. At the moment Daniel from Dozer is taking his place during our rehearsals. We do need a full-time drummer though, and we're hoping to find someone soon. If you feel like giving it a shot, please contact our managment at comingohm@spray.se or e-mail us personally at info@bettygoesagogo.com The (Swedish) release-date for the up-coming A Moment of Clarity is set for the Second of May. Hopefully it will be distributed throughout Europe around the end of May/beginning of June. For a closer peep at the front-cover, please check out the vision-section.

2005-04-20
2005-03-24 We're back - well and alive. In a couple of weeks you'll be able to get the new e.p. from Betty goes a go-go. At this moment we can't really say when it's gonna hit the stores, but you can easily order it from Molten or directly from us. Just write us an e-mail or an old school letter.

2005-03-15 The "A Moment of Clarity" ep is gonna get shipped for production next week. Rickard's in New York at the moment and I'm going to Amsterdam this week, but as soon as we get home we'll send it to Pregal Productions (the cd-manufacturer). By the way, check out the brand new demo called Summer Breeze.

2005-02-20 Feel free to order your own private copy of the Betty-pin. It's in classy cream-white/romantic red. Please order by e-mail or by sending us an pre-stamped envelope.

2005-02-03 We have got in contact with artist Magnus Larsson (mostly known for his work on Dozers products) for the design on the up-coming ep. We have also ordered pins with the satellite-logo. The idea for the pins is to work as a pr/fan-gift and not as merchandise. Stay tuned for more news about these tiny red/grey beauties.

2005-01-18 We're back from the studio. Spent some exciting hours, looking for different angles and textures to bring out the best of the song. It's not mixed yet so it is a bit too early to say how it will turn out, but so far...  it sounds spectacular! The mastering is gonna take place at Cutting Room, which is far better than we ever could hope for (or pay for ourselves). And yes, the song is about seven and a half minutes and includes winecups and glockenspiel.

2004-12-15 We've finally started to arrange the song. The title is Steel Mill City Winter and is built up around a monotonous bass and a drum-machine beat. Quite different in texture from what we use to do. You'll even find a bit of snowflakes, drones and an e-bow. Jingle jangle christmas on yer'all...

2004-11-19 A while ago I (Erik) came up with a song that never really made it (since not every one in the band thought it was good enough). To me it stuck like glue and I still think it has the potential to become somewhat of a masterpiece. A couple of weeks ago I got in contact with a guy who is going to release a compilation-album next year and I thought it would be a good chance to find out whether I'm right or not. Early next year, at least me and Perra are going to enter the studio to record it. It will hopefully be released around spring. More news as we know more about it.

2004-11-04 Rickard's finally home after a trip to the states. This means that we're about to start rehearsing again. The new material is more bass-orientated and some songs are just not possible to play without him. As soon as we've "cubased" some demos we'll put it on this site. Patience is a virtue...

2004-11-01 We have found out that our mail-adress was wrong (in the contact-section that was). For questions or other private messages try: info@bettygoesagogo.com instead. I'ts all taken care of now and all we can do is to apologize for any sorts of trouble you've had.

2004-10-21 According to Pinhead, (Moltens') Martin is paying Sweden a visit at the end of this month. This could could mean 1) he has changed his mind and wants to release the e.p. 2) we're gonna beat the crap out of him. A third possibility is that we come up with an agreement about releasing it ourselves and that Molten Universe (i.e. Border) is taking care of the distribution.

2004-10-18 Unfortunately Molten Universe seems to lack in interest and/or time. Since we don't have a binding record-deal there's really not much we can do at the moment. The possibilities are 1) try to find some other label, 2) Molten changes their minds, 3) we release it ourselves.

2004-10-10 Finally we have re-directed the www.bettygoesagogo.com domain name. From now on this is our base, playground and starship shuttle. Welcome earthlings!

2004-09-11 Martin (i.e. Molten Universes' boss) is visiting Sweden this month. This means serious discussions about the up-coming release from Betty goes a go-go. Probably an e.p. or single, depending on the state of his wallet.

2004-08-25 The guys from Sugarplum Fairy came over while I was at work and they showed me their up-coming album-design. Quite nice in its simplicity and red nuances. Gee, I wanna release the Paloma single now... Afterwards we met up at a friends place and they played some of their material out in his yard. It took some extension-cords to plug all amplifiers outside the house, but it was fun (although it's really not my cup of tea - the music that is, not my friends yard). Good luck to 'em though!

2004-08-16 Thank God it's monday! The weekends are killing me... And the party was spectacular! Strange feeling to know just about every soul in the room while playing. Unfortunately we didn't jam afterwards, since the guys from Dozer and Moved were there (Walle & his drums had to leave right after the gig). It felt kinda awkward standing on the floor like in Sonic Youths 100 % video with people drinking punch and eating nachos all around. Tracklist as follows:

Setlist:
1. Paloma
2. Jet age love
3. Winter lair
4. Destroit City
5. Love will tear us apart
6. Stealth-rise

2006-06-03 More info on the Peace & Love gig: Betty's gonna perform on a stage called Ohm (S2) around 21.15 Saturday night. Other acts are Patti Smith, New York Dolls, Cat5, Vive La Fete, Ed Hartcourt.

2006-05-14 Betty has been booked for the Peace & Love festival in June.

2006-04-28 Betty has booked a weeks visit to the studio in the beginning of june. The result will probably be a single for promotional purposes.

2006-03-19 Big thanks to all of you who came to our performance this weekend. We'll bring you pictures as soon as possible. Some journalists were there as well, so hopefully you'll get to read something about it in the near future. As you (who were there) could see, we also have a new bass player. The man with the distorted four strings is named Linus. We've been rehearsing with him for a month or so and everything feels just fine. Stay tuned and you'll get to know him better.

2006-03-13 Rickard has left the building. Being busy with/concentrating on Stonewall Noise Orchestra took a little too much of his time.

2006-03-02 Betty has been invited to perform att the Ungdomskontorets (Youth Office) One Year Anniversity. The evening takes place at Cozmos the 18th of Mars. Betty is going to play one song during Klubb Ohms set.

Setlist:
01. Intro
02. Paloma
03. A way around the truth
04. I lie to keep you calm
05. Jet Age Love
06. Love will tear us apart
07. Derranged
08. Antarctica
